Hey guys,
So as some of you may know, over the Christmas holidays The Computer Society ordered as Oculus Rift. For anyone that doesn't know, the Oculus Rift is what they call a "virtual reality head-mounted display". We're all really excited to use it and we would like to invite you all to come and have a go with us on Wednesday the 5th of February in EG010. If you'd like more information on the Oculus Rift you can check it out here: https://www.oculus.com/rift/.

Also some opportunities that we were asked to bring to your attention:
· ACI is holding its <FooBar/> Challenge 2015. It has Hackathon and Robocode based challenges. Check out their Facebook for more information about the competition and how to enter. https://www.facebook.com/ACIFooBarChallenge
· Google is accepting applicants from first and second year university students for their STEP programme. This is a paid internship programme with positions in Dublin and other places in Europe. You can apply at http://goo.gl/CDwsdT and they recommend applying for London if their description for Dublin isn’t up yet. See http://googleforstudents.blogspot.ie/2013/10/announcing-2014-summer-trainee.html for details.
