Hi,
For anyone is interested in admin training there's a session on tomorrow, Thursday 4 April, which we'd highly suggest you attend.
What: Admin Training
When: Thursday 4 April 19:00
Where: Kemmy Business School, KB119
Details: The society is starting trainee admin sessions again. This is the first session for anyone who's interested, including people who just want to have an overview of the basics.
https://www.facebook.com/events/370668833047370
If you're attending, please bring a laptop with you. Make sure to download an ssh client (PuTTY or KiTTY are recommended). If you're using Linux, then the openssh client should be installed already. I've no idea what the situation on Macs is - you're on your own here!
To give you an idea of what will be covered you should take a read through this: http://www.skynet.ie/~dobrien/admin.txt
The society will be looking to involve anyone who is interested in admin tasks, helping to maintain the cluster, that can prove beneficial experience for coop or beyond.
If you have any questions, please send them to compsoc@skynet.ie or ask in the facebook event page linked above.
