Next event

  • Samir is working on the presentation.
    • Irene is afraid that people will zone out.
  • Next week is sorted out.

Out in UL

  • Irene didn't make contact with Out in UL.
  • Brendan recomends typing it out in the UL wolves email.
  • Out in UL are dealing with events next week.

NextApp sponsorship

  • We have $1000 budget
    • There will be a posibility of splitting the budget over multiple items.
  • February could be fine.
  • If we go over budget that can be discussed.
  • They need a plan for what the money will be used for.
  • Maybe have it as part of a two part event re. Advent of Code.
  • What they are aiming on a fun event (Roller skating, Zip Lining)
  • Would be great to talk to Lisa about how best to approach this before.
  • Hoodies: May have to check if the logo can be used in the hoodie?
  • Event ideas:
    • Hoodie party
    • Go down Cork & visit their office
    • Intersociety event?
      • See if he has contact with the colleges in Cork.
      • Intersocs discord?

Aside: NextCloud & new committee

  • NextCloud is up for business, more in its section
  • New committee training.

Pycon

  • Bus
    • Currently we have 20 tickets for the bus.
      • It is the max you can buy at a time, and we want as few purchases for budget
    • Called on Friday, if you buy a ticket from Limerick to Dublin, they work for all stops in Limerick.
    • Irene looking after Arthur's Quay, Brendan transiting to UL.
    • Plan that everyone on committee has access to the tickets.
    • Poll to see how many for each stop in Limerick just to have rough numbers for each. (NextCloud form)
  • Tickets for Pycon:
    • Make contact, we pay by card, cover fees after closing sign-ups (9pm)
  • Need someone to draw up a schedule of the day.
    • Have recomendation for events.
      • Set up a poll of events that people want to go to.
      • Not clear cut as things go on over a period of time.
  • When we go up there, maybe get to know who to talk to in the event of an emergency.
  • Kaiden against people just splitting up on the day.
