Might be better to store the command used somewhere and use something in CI (sed?) to keep it consistent with the docs/User.md, theres also the case where servers have to keep their channel descriptions updated e.g on games dev its still the old /link, and there is chat history saying its other stuff.

For this if the bot is given sufficient perms it can probably be automated pretty easily if layout of the channels for member verification / bot commands is standardized - e.g compsoc used bot_commands, game dev used member_verification

Only seeing this now.

theres also the case where servers have to keep their channel descriptions updated e.g on games dev its still the old /link

Personally I would rather the bot didnt have the ability to do that, keep it as stupidly simple as possible.
I have been saying taht folks should link to https://forgejo.skynet.ie/Skynet/discord-bot/src/branch/main/doc/User.md since that is going to be kept up to date (and easier to centrally manage).
That being said it might be worth putting it in the Committee.md

and there is chat history saying its other stuff.

Ye, that is completely on me, joys of rough early days and them basically being teh beta testers.

Feel free to merge this in whenever, and thank ye
